EverTrust Health® Participation in NAHC Spring Advocacy Day EverTrust Health® Participation in NAHC Spring Advocacy Day

On April 17, 2024, EverTrust Health® proudly participated in the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) Spring Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill. Florida led the nation in attendance, with approximately 100 representatives advocating for critical issues affecting home healthcare, including the Preserving Access to Home Health Act (S.2137/H.R.5159).

Our team emphasized the importance of maintaining Medicare and Medicaid funding and addressed the challenges posed by the recent 80-20 payment adequacy provision. This provision, which mandates that a significant portion of Medicaid payments be allocated for direct care worker compensation, risks undermining access to vital services for vulnerable populations.

During the event, EverTrust Health® highlighted our commitment to advocating for legislation that supports our caregivers and patients. We also expressed gratitude to our colleagues and legislators for their dedication to improving home healthcare services.

As we continue to engage with lawmakers, we encourage everyone to make their voices heard. Together, we can advocate for positive change that benefits our patients and the entire home care community.

For more information on how you can participate in advocacy efforts, please visit the Legislative Action Center to reach out to your elected representatives.

Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to enhancing the lives of those we serve. Together, we can make a significant impact in the home care sector.
